Liza's Closet Couture

Beach baby, beach baby give me your hand……..

Time to hit the beach in almost two years.  I finally found the beach towels in my closet, purchased a new tent and am going to buy the new sunscreen by Loreal……

Luke scraped the bumper on his Toyota this week which is in keeping with tradition as Joe scraped Luke’s bumper two years ago the same week we went to the beach.

It’s all good!

Finding the perfect Job……

After countless hours and a hundred resumes later, I have finally found the perfect job.  I am working with two remarkably talented and way too much fun women who started a home staging and design business in San Antonio.  ByDesign Home staging and Decorating works with homeowners, realtors and builders staging their homes for the potential buyer.  They also offer a full line of decorating services.

This is going to be a blast!  Pictures to follow……..!!!

He conquers who endures. ~Persius

What I really love about them… is the fact that they contain someone’s personal history…I find myself wondering about their lives. I can never look at a garment… without thinking about the woman who owned it. How old was she? Did she work? Was she married? Was she happy?… I look at these exquisite shoes, and I imagine the woman who owned them rising out of them or kissing someone…I look at a little hat like this, I lift up the veil, and I try to imagine the face beneath it… When you buy a piece of vintage clothing you’re not just buying the fabric and thread - you’re buying a piece of someone’s past.”
